Legal & privacy policy
How the Prairie View A&M Foundation handles the information you share with us.
The Prairie View A&M Foundation (PVAMF) is a public non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, EIN 38-3798900, that secures and stewards gifts benefiting Prairie View A&M University. This policy explains what we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: September 2026.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name and contact details, and anything else you enter when you use a form on this site to contact us, volunteer, update your information, or answer a survey.
- Gift information. Donations are processed on Blackbaud hosted forms, and cryptocurrency gifts through The Giving Block. Card and bank details are entered on those providers’ pages. This website does not collect or store them.
- Information collected automatically. Standard web server logs and basic usage measurements, such as the pages visited and the browser used, which keep the site working and secure.
How we use it
- To process gifts, issue receipts, and acknowledge your generosity.
- To answer your questions and follow up on offers to volunteer or serve.
- To keep supporters informed about the Foundation and University priorities.
- To meet our legal, accounting, and audit obligations.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or trade donor or supporter information.
When we share information
- With service providers acting for us, each limited to the work they do: Blackbaud for donation processing and donor records, Simply360 for this website and its forms.
- With Prairie View A&M University, where your gift is designated to a University fund or program.
- Where the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of the Foundation, our supporters, or others.
Some tools on this site are operated by other organizations under their own privacy policies. The employer matching-gift search on the Matching Gifts page loads a Double the Donation widget only when you choose to search; the cryptocurrency donation service is provided by The Giving Block. Information you enter in those widgets or services is governed by their terms, not this policy.
Cookies
This site uses cookies that are necessary for pages and forms to work, and to measure use in aggregate. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies; the site’s giving and form pages may not work correctly if you do.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from Foundation email at any time using the link in any message we send.
- You can ask us to correct or remove your details. Use the Update Your Info form or email us.
- Text message consent and terms are published separately in our SMS notice.
Children
This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
